St Mawes is renowned as a haven for the keen sailing enthusiast, with its picturesque harbour and with access to some of the finest sailing waters in the South West it is a popular holiday destination both by road and water.
The village provides a good selection of shops and services. There are regular ferry services to Falmouth and Place.
Approaches to St Mawes
The first harbour of the Fal Estuary. The Harbour limit is denoted by the points of Carricknath to the South and St Mawes Castle to the North. On approach to St Mawes Harbour keep south of St Mawes South Cardinal Mark buoy marking Lugo Rock (0.6m).
